NRA has decided to dismiss its suit against New York. This is the one against the NY Attorney General. Putting the best spin on it, it says it will pursue its claims in Manhattan. But the Manhattan suit is the NY Attorney General’s suit to dissolve NRA, so there it’s not pursuing but the pursued.
AN UPDATE: Here is NRA’s webpage on the lawsuit. Every document is spun as favorable to it. Strangely, there is no entry for the choice to dismiss the case. We can only wonder how much two years in court with a $1,400 an hour (that’s 40 annual members’ dues per hour) attorney cost the Association’s members, in exchange for a total loss.
