Rocky Marshall On NRA’s Struggles

Former director Rocky Marshall appears in a podcast at The Reload. He has an extensive background in big business and in shooting; he tried to intervene in the bankruptcy case and in the New York dissolution, in order to argue for the interests of the members, rather than the corrupt leadership.

  1. Major points from Rocky Marshall’s 41 minutes of the podcast:

NRA board of directors is not independent, not performing oversight, and not fulfilling its fiduciary obligations.

The present cobbled-together insurance policy provides no coverage for board members for the period of misconduct set out in the NY AG’s complaint.

A third of the board is known as the cabal and controls the rest of the board. A third of the board just goes along with what is presented by the cabal. A third of the board is incompetent and not fit to be on the board.

When Marshall first came on the board, less than 12 board members privately informed him that the NRA was facing problems, but they did not speak up in public. At this time, that number has shrunk to a handful.

The board controls who is nominated for the board. The nomination-by-petition for the board has been turned into a major obstacle.

Donations to NRA have shrunk by 35 to 40 percent.

All of the accusations by the NY AG are true.

The NY AG’s complaint may drag on for years because of possible appeals. NRA is now spending a large portion of its budget on attorney fees and associated costs.

Analysis of Marshall’s info: Giving a dime to the NRA these days would be a stupid way to spend your money if you want to help to preserve the 2nd Amendment. The NRA no longer is worth anyone’s money, time, or energy.
