It’s filed with the North Carolina Secretary of State. Click here on “Audit.” It shows a continuing financial disaster. Over 2021-2022 dues income fell from $97 million to $83 million, a 15% drop that indicates a loss of around 350,000 annual members last year alone. Assets fell from $211 million to $174 million. Liability for notes payable and lines of credit nearly doubled, from $24 million to $43 million.
Long-term, over the last ten years (2012 – 2022), NRA’s overall revenues have fallen from $344 million to $213 million, a fall of nearly 40%.
The NRA is spending $20 million on legislative programs, and $19 million, almost as much, on executive office expenses. Also, it reports spending $12.3 million for settling lawsuits. We’ve blogged about the Ackerman McQueen settlement before; the NRA board was told it couldn’t be told the terms of the settlement, with hints that A-MQ paid the NRA. Nope, NRA paid its former PR agency millions of member dollars, and the claim the settlement could be kept confidential from the board was a lie, to cover this up.
It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out this all has to do with the disastrous leader ship of Wayne LaPierre and his butt kissing board members. Get rid of them all, get rid of the problem.

How much is being spent on legal fees up until today?
BTW, I’m proud of say that I am one of the many who decided to not renew my NRA membership after this year…..

RECEIVERSHIP!

I am guessing it is north of $150 million.
Which will eventually force a judge to put them into RECEIVERSHIP!

I would put the total figure at over $200 million in just legal costs related to the NY suit.
That doesn’t include the almost $200 million (per year!) decline in annual revenue, or the massive opportunity losses over the past 5 years.

Which doesn’t take into account the approximate $25 million that Brewer spent in preparation for federal bankruptcy as well as including actual bankruptcy expenses!

RECEIVERSHIP!

The officer and board positions are encumbered with those deficient in judgment and understanding, the rapacious, the cowardly, and blind worshippers of LaPierre and Brewer. Consequently, the NRA has been hurled by them on the road to perdition. This is a sad and shocking case of institutional suicide.

That is why one of these judges will almost be forced to put the NRA into receivership to save it from the malfeasance of the board of directors!

The link to the report takes me to a search page. For those wanting a direct link to the NRA’s 2022 Audit Report, you can find it on my website here:

Jeff, Frank, Rocky, Judge Journey and any other reformers (I might of inadvertently missed) MUST get enough signatures to get on the board!

They’re not trying to get out of the hole. They’re trying to steal as much as possible.

I got a phone call yesterday from a paid NRA representative. Not sure what they wanted, since when she said she was from the NRA, I just hung up. I mean, I am sure they wanted money, but I am not sure what spiel she was going to use.
At this point, it would be hard to recommend anyone join the NRA until they see just what the outcome of the legal issues will be. The sad thing is, I am doubtful that anyone who deserves it will actually see the inside of a prison cell.

My private sportsmans club is putting a vote to membership to remove the requirement for NRA membership in order to join the club. I’ll be voting to end that requirement and referring any doubters to this website
